The Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana and University College London – Energy Institute are jointly organising a conference on the theme “Strategies for sustainable energy transitions in Urban Sub-Saharan Africa” in Accra, Ghana from June 19 - 20, 2017.  The conference is part of the project called “Supporting Sub-Saharan African Municipalities with Sustainable Energy Transitions” (SAMSET) funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), the Department for Energy & Climate change (DECC) and the Engineering & Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC). During the week of the Conference, a four-day short course entitled “Continual Professional Development (CPD) training on Sustainable energy Transitions” will be organised at ISSER, University of Ghana from 21 - 24 June, 2017. Read more

Deadline for receipt of abstracts:               31 December, 2016

Notification of acceptance:                         27 January, 2017

Deadline for submission of full paper:     24 March, 2017

The Conference is open to all interested persons, social scientists from any field and practitioners, especially from the Sub-Saharan African Region.
